Morgan co-taught with Cope for Humanities this semester. His courses were sometimes unclear, and he would call people out in class for not reading. He's friendly of a jerk, and a very difficult grader, but if you go to his office hours he will help you.
prof. Morgan grades on a somewhat arbitrary basis. Grades clearly reflect the people that he likes in the class. If he does not like you or you do not talk much, you can expect to get an exam back with a grade of somewhere around a C. What Prof. Morgan does not understand is that giving a 5/10 on an exam essay is equivalent to failing it
difficult! difficult! difficult! but he will help you but don't think this is going to be an simple course it is challenging. Expect to be challenged.
Prof. Morgan is a friendly down to earth prof. He's tough as far as grading and expectations go, however he knows his things and is super accommodating if you ask. Opinions are definitely left leaning but doesn't grade based on agreement.
Morgan is a decent prof.. He really knows his things and offers a refreshing perspective on things. On the downside he does come off as friendly of arrogant, and the amount of reading he assigns is ridiculous. Just keep up with things and you should do fine.
If you can't keep up with the work he assigns you are not trying. Poli Sci majors are supposed to devour their literature; if you don't like to read technical policy papers, foreign history and economic analysis then quit while your ahead and go become a Communications Major. simple grader (far easier than Grace or Farmer). Very likable too.
I was really excited to take environmental ethics but he basically ruined it for me. Doesn't respond to comments or questions unless they directly correlate with his beliefs. He is one of the biggest perpetrator's of having class "favorites" I have ever encountered in my life, and if you aren't one of them, you might as well sleep through class.
great thing this wasn't my first political science class or I might have switched majors. Class was dull, he often went off topic and I learned more from outside sources than I did in courses. simple grader but don't take him if you want to learn anything. Even the other profs in the dept can't stand him.
great prof | |
He just graduated Geneseo, but thinks rather highly of himself. He wants to be Farmer or Deutsch. His courses are dry, and he is unnecessarily nit picky in grading. He does make an effort to help you out if you go see him. He's snobby and seems pretty closed-minded, and thinks his opinions are always the right ones. Take someone else if you can.
Grades way to difficult. To much writing assigned, and his opinions take away from the class.
EVERYBODY LOVES PROF MORGAN. You will learn so much from him. Take the class. At least skim the reading because he does spot calling sometimes. difficult essay grader, but definitely go in and talk to him- he love to help students out, and he is very accommodating one-on-one. He graduated Geneseo in 2007, so he knows the college and he is very accommodating!!! |
